There are several ballast vessels heading toward the Americas with no clear destination:

Main HighlightsBoth Engie’s vessels are headed toward Everett with their Atlantic LNG-sourced cargoes: Gaselys, ETA 28-December, and Bw Gdf Suez Boston, ETA 29-December. Gaselys was expected there earlier, but diverted back for some period of time.

Cheniere’s Maria Energy is currently discharging her maiden Sabine Pass cargo at Caofeidian. This is the third cargo delivered from Sabine Pass to China.

There are several vessels that loaded at Sabine Pass and are expected to deliver to Far East: Shell’s Maran Gas Efessos, NLNG’s LNG Abalamabie, and Shell’s Maran Gas Achilles. Their destinations are not yet clear.

Overall, Kpler analysts observe an influx of loaded vessels headed west across the Pacific:
