 Americas

Shell’s VLGC NS Frontier is on her maiden voyage from Enterprise to Asia, she loaded a propane cargo and set her AIS for Far East through COGH.

Geogas diverted Permian Lady. She was expected in Houston on 7-Jan, but loaded propane in Tampa instead. She’ll discharge in Tuxpan by 13-Jan.

Al Wukir, fixed by Petredec for a 44 kt propane voyage from Enterprise to Far East. The VLGC is instead going to Europe as her AIS is transmitting Northern Europe.

On the ethane side, two ships are currently loading at Morgans Point:

  • Ethane Emerald, RIL’s latest VLEC, that will load her maiden cargo to be the second to vessel to join the Indian petrochemicals company’s ethane fleet. She’s expected in Dahej by 10-Fev.
  • JS Ineos Ingenuity, which is back under Ineos control after three propane voyages from Enterprise fixed by Petredec. She’s expected in NWE, ETA 30-Jan.

After returning from Europe where she discharged a WAF sourced cargo, Geogas’ Kent loaded a 15 kt propane cargo out of Marcus Hook to Gibraltar transmitting “For Orders”.

From Aruba, Trafigura is still sending propane to Venezuela with its MGC Bakken Lady. The later is filling its tanks out of VLGC Jia Yuan. So does Handysize Gaz Fraternity, as she also performed an STS operation on 8-Jan and is now waiting in Cristobal Anchroage.

In the South American region, Pertusola cleaned her tanks after carrying ammonia cargoes and is expected to lift a 10 kt butane parcel in Bahia Blanca on 14-Jan.

West Africa

VLGC Clermont was expected to load in Bonny fixed by Exxon. She changed course 4 days before reaching the island and is now heading to Houston, ETA 24-Jan. Petredec fixed the vessel.

We still see a lot of delay on big Western Africa installations:
  • Vitol is awaiting its BW Nantes its 32kt propane cargo from Bioko. The vessel arrived early Jan.
  • Chevron’s BW Energy has been sitting in front of Soyo since 22-Dec to load 45kt of propane.
  • Another Chevron vessel, Hellas Hercules, is waiting to load a 3:1 LPG cargo out of Sanha since 15-Dec.

Gunvor is moving Constitution to load in Bonny on 24-Jan.

BW Loyalty loaded an 11 kt Australian-sourced butane cargo out of Navigator Centauri in during an STS Beira on 28-Dec. She’s heading to Tema, ETA 15-Jan.

Trafigura has been moving Argentinian propane through Navigator Grace to West Africa. Sh’s on track to Abidjan or Takoradi but is expected in none of these ports.

Europe

As BW Volans just discharged in Terneuzen, she headed straight to Kaarsto to load a 50:50 cargo. She’s headed to Gibraltar and will discharge her cargo in Turkey, ETA 23-Jan.

Another VLGC is expected in Kaarsto by the end of the month, on 28-Jan. Tenacity IV is also expected to load an evenly split cargo with Turkey as final destination as well, ETA 10-Feb.

Total lifted an Algerian-cargo aboard Hellas Gladiator. She’s set to discharge in Far East on 1-Feb.

A 12 kt parcel of propane was lifted onboard Clipper Venus from Stenungsund. The vessel is expected on the US East Coast, in Newington on 15-Jan.

Sibur Voronezh was expected to discharge her butane in Stenungsund as she was on the Sweden port schedule for 13-Jan. Instead, she set her AIS for Brunsbuttel, and is expected there on 12-Jan.

Small volumes are exported from Ireland’s Whitegate installation as B Gas Summit moved a cargo to Amsterdam.

Asia

Shergar was returning from Indonesia to Mina Al Ahmadi. But when going through Nipah, on 8-Jan, she loaded 12 kt of UAE’s LPG from Venus Glory. She’s currently discharging in Sriracha.

BW Broker discharged in Nipah in Ming Long during an STS operation on 6-Jan. 11 kt were transferred.

Some 22 kt of LPG was re-exported from Yeosu on 22-Dec. It reached Dongguan on 6-Jan aboard BW Birch.

 

Stenungsund Storage Focus

The past few months have seen some LPG coming out of Stenungsund. The LPG storage caverns located in Sweden have been filling up for most of 2016, but since September, exports are trending over there. Up to 30 kt is exported every month. As the following chart shows, outlets for this gas are numerous.
