Kpler LNG (Qatari vessels diverting from South Hook)

Market Updates

Currently, we receive the alert from Kpler’s system for potential diversions taking place at the Gulf of Aden. Two Qatargas’ vessels expected by the market to arrive from Ras Laffan to South Hook are changing their directions:


Aqaba will receive their first Algerian cargo aboard Sonatrach’s Ougarta, ETA 11-June. The trade have been executed by BB Energy.

Guanghui Energy’s new Qidong terminal is now receiving their commissioning cargo aboard Grace Acacia. She reloaded the cargo from SLNG on 25-May.

Kogas’ first contract cargo onboard SM Eagle from Sabine Pass Train 3 has left the plant on 2-June and is delivering to Pyeong Taek, ETA 2-July. Also, other Kogas’ vessels are ballasting now toward Sabine Pass to load their cargoes:

Ain Sokhna is currently expecting four vessels to arrive from Ras Laffan in the next few days:

Shell’s Maran Gas Amphipolis was initially expected to discharge her Sabine Pass cargo at MAAGP on 7-June, but now she finally delivered to Jebel Ali on 8-June.

Interesting Moves 

Diversion Alert:  LNG Lagos Ii loaded at Bonny on 28-May and is expected by the Port Authorities to deliver to Montoir on 17-June. The vessel is now making a u-turn and is headed towards the opposite direction at 12.3 kn:

Al Sahla loaded a cargo at Ras Laffan on 8-May and partially discharged it at Dahej on 16-May. The vessel then was anchored at Ras Laffan, and started moving on 8-June towards MAAGP with ETA 9-June. Kpler analysts have derived that this is the most probable scenario. Please add the vessel to your Watchlist to track its’ further changes.

Currently, two backhaul cargoes are expected to arrive to Europe. Rasgas’ Wilforce is expected at Barcelona on 15-June with her Ras Laffan cargo. Rasgas’ Wilpride is expected to load her backhaul cargo at Ras Laffan on 9-June and deliver it to Zeebrugge on 28-June. The vessel is currently ballasting toward the loading terminal.

Shell’s Maran Gas Hector is now floating offshore of Altamira with her Sabine Pass cargo and expectedby Kpler analysts  to discharge on 8-June.

Statoil’s Arctic Voyager loaded at Bonny on 3-June and is delivering to Huelva, ETA 14-June.
